The Outrunners

A group of runners at the Big Half

We Run As One

A campaign that shines a light on the incredibly diverse running communities that take part in The Big Half each year.

Do you feel part of the wider running community?
Totally, our Outrunners 5K and 10K races really helped showcase this. We had everyone from our youth running clubs, mentors and mentees, our adult running club and the parents of kids all coming together to cheer one another along! With water guns to keep everyone cool as it was 29 degrees on race day.

Why do you think people should take up running?
Because it keeps you fit, helps keep you happy, and if you join a running club it gives you a crew!

Have you run The Big Half previously? If so, what did you think of it?
Yes our crew ran it last year and it was amazing! It’s like a running festival of celebration.

Why do you think people should get involved?
Because it’s the only race in London that truly feels like a community event. It’s incredibly diverse and brings all types of runners together in the same space.

Why is it important for you to be part of this event and come together with others to ‘run as one’?
Because it’s a celebration of running. It doesn’t feel like an exclusive event.

What are you most looking forward to about this year’s event?
Bringing all the crew together as one!
