The Vitality Big Half 2021

Following the government announcement on Monday 22 February of the planned roadmap out of lockdown, it’s clear it is not possible to deliver The Vitality Big Half as planned on Sunday 25 April.

The event will now take place on Sunday 22 August 2021.

Participants with places in the event it will be automatically transferred to the new event date.

If people are unable to take part on the new date, they will be able to either defer their place to the 2022 event or receive a full refund – participants will be emailed with their options by early May. No action is required now.

General entries are sold out

The next edition of The Vitality Big Half will take place on the new date of Sunday 22 August 2021. General and resident entries have sold out, but there are still ways to take part – see below.

Charity places still available

Although general and resident entries are now sold out, you can still secure a charity place in the event on the new date of Sunday 22 August and make sure you're on the Start Line of London’s most exciting half marathon in 2021!

Community entry

Each year a number of community entries are also available to groups in London that support their local residents.

We are working hard to bring you an iconic and fun route for 2021.

There will be social distancing measures in place at the event to ensure you have a safe and comfortable race, and if it’s postponed or cancelled for any reason you will be refunded 100 per cent of your entry fee.

The course

The Vitality Big Half route starts on the north side of the River Thames and goes through the four London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich.
