Runners celebrate as they approach the Finish Line

The New Balance Big Relay

Are your team ready?

Organised by London Marathon Events, the event is held on the same incredible 13.1-mile course as The Big Half and is split into four legs of around 5K each. This means you can soak up the atmosphere of the half marathon without having to go the full distance.

The event takes place on Sunday 1 September 2024. Places for this year are now sold out. It will begin at 09:20 with the first wave of runners.

Who can take part?

As the course is divided into legs, it’s perfect for participants of mixed abilities or anyone who isn’t able to run a full 13.1 miles – you just need to be able to cover approximately 5K.

Entrants need to be aged 15 or above on Event Day. Each team also needs a captain, who must be at least 18 years old on Event Day. Please note that teams must be made up of four members who take on one leg each.

For reference, here are the 2024 legs.
