Runners celebrate as they approach the Finish Line

The New Balance Big Relay

The New Balance Big Relay returns on Sunday 1 September!

Fancy taking on The Big Half as a team of four?

The event is held on the same incredible 13.1-mile course as The Big Half and is split into four legs of around 5K each. This means you can soak up the atmosphere of the half marathon without having to go the full distance.

Entry cost per team is £56, which works out at just £14 per team member!

Who can take part?

As the course is divided into legs, it’s perfect for participants of mixed abilities or anyone who isn’t able to run a full 13.1 miles – you just need to be able to cover approximately 5K.

Entrants need to be aged 15 or above on Event Day. Each team also needs a captain, who must be at least 18 years old on Event Day. Please note that teams must be made up of four members who take on one leg each.

How long are the legs?

The New Balance Big Relay has four legs of roughly 5K each:

  • Leg 1: Tower Bridge to Canary Wharf
  • Leg 2: Canary Wharf to Wapping
  • Leg 3: Wapping to Rotherhithe
  • Leg 4: Rotherhithe to Greenwich

What will I get?

Each team member will receive their own New Balance technical T-shirt and finisher’s medal once they’ve completed their leg at their changeover point. We'll confirm details of the changeover points closer to the event.
