About The Big Mile
The Big Mile is a FREE, fun, family-friendly mass participation event that takes place on the same finishing stretch as The Big Half, culminating at the iconic Cutty Sark. Because the route is only a mile long, it’s the perfect event for first-time runners or walkers, families with children of all ages and anyone looking to get more healthy and active – it’s also accessible to wheelchair users.
Fun for all the family!
This year the event started at 14:30 on Sunday 22 August, the same date as The Big Half. James Wolfe Primary School hosted the Assembly Area for participants to arrive, and there was a chance to ask questions at our Information Point, or use the toilets before the event. Our team was on hand to ensure participants had a truly inspiring and enjoyable day.
