About The Little Half
As its name suggests, The Little Half is a shorter version of The Vitality Big Half. But while it may be little, it’s certainly not lacking in fun!
The Little Half covers just 2.3 miles, but they are not any old 2.3 miles – they are the last 2.3 miles of The Vitality Big Half course itself, starting in Surrey Quays and finishing near the spectacular Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
For all ages and abilities
This means that as well as The Little Half being an accessible distance for people of all ages and abilities – in fact, there are no age limits to taking part – the event offers the perfect opportunity for even the youngest children to experience the unforgettable atmosphere of a mass participation running event at its most exciting and inspiring point: the run-up to the finish!
Run with family and friends
Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult – so why not make the event a family affair by running with your relatives, or encourage a group of friends to join you for this fun day out in the capital?
All you need to remember is that everyone who wants to get involved (including children) needs to be registered in order to take part – but the good news is entry is free to those aged under 18 and just £5 for all other participants.
In 2020 around 1,200 people took on The Little Half challenge, which for many was their first timed running event. Hopefully it will have inspired them to remain active for many years to come.
