The Vitality Big Half is London's community half marathon, featuring events for all ages and abilities, as well as world class elite fields and a festival full of free music, entertainment and activities. Find out more about the event below...

Maya Ghazal started running last year after arriving from Syria in 2015. Now the aviation engineering student is one of six Community Champions taking on their first half marathon as part of the #MovedByLondon campaign. Read her story and those of other Community Champions on our Latest News page.

More than 6,000 runners from community groups in the four host boroughs of Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Lewisham and Greenwich will take on the 13.1-mile challenge, making up around half of the expected field.

The Vitality Big Festival
The Vitality Big Festival in Greenwich Park, in partnership with BBC Introducing, will showcase a selection of the hottest up-and-coming acts and local community performers.

The Emancipated Run Crew (ERC) have created a running club for people of all backgrounds and abilities, but particularly for the black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) community. Members of ERC will be running The Vitality Big Half.

Run With Purpose
Run With Purpose, a club set up to help tackle male mental health issues, will also be on the Start Line on Sunday 1 March.

Following the loss of her brother Rene to suicide, Stefanie Savri set up the running club Run4Rene to help others through life's tough points. Run4Rene will also be represented at The Vitality Big Half.
