The New Balance Big Relay
To those of you who braved the stormy weather conditions to take part in The New Balance Big Relay at The Vitality Big Half 2019, we hope you had an enjoyable run.
We would like to thank you for running and also thank all our volunteers and stewards who did such a great job around the route, working in the changing conditions.
We look forward to welcoming you back next year to this unique celebration of running that celebrates London’s diversity and the communities of Tower Hamlets, Lewisham, Southwark and Greenwich.

About The New Balance Big Relay
The New Balance Big Relay enables a team of four runners to take on The Vitality Big Half, running 13.1 miles through Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich.
Each participant runs one leg of The Vitality Big Half course from Tower Bridge to Cutty Sark over distances ranging from one mile to 4.7 miles.
The first runner starts with all of The Vitality Big Half runners, with changeover points at the locations listed below:
- Leg One: The Start, Tower Bridge to Canary Wharf (3.5 miles)
Changeover One: Canary Wharf
- Leg Two: Canary Wharf to Narrow Street (1.2 miles)
Changeover Two: Narrow Street
- Leg Three: Narrow Street to Bermondsey (3.8 miles)
Changeover Three: Bermondsey
- Leg Four: Bermondsey to The Finish, Cutty Sark (4.6 miles)
