The Final Instructions e-magazine provides everything you need to know about The Vitality Big Half on Sunday 4 March, from attaching your timing chip to your shoe to how to get to the Start Line.
Your running number is GREEN or ORANGE - see the examples provided below.
This colour indicates which version of the Final Instructions you need to read and which Start Area you need to go to on the day.
It is essential that you note the colour of your running number and read the Final Instructions magazine that matches your colour.
If you go to the wrong Start Area you may miss out on taking part in The Vitality Big Half. Nobody wants that to happen, so please read your instructions carefully and make sure you know exactly where you are going to before you set off.
Runners who live outside of the UK will receive different Final Instructions, explaining how to collect your Race Pack on the day from the Information Point in your Start Area.
The Little Half Final Instructions
If you are taking part in The Little Half, please download the final instructions below and read them carefully to ensure you have an enjoyable and trouble-free day.
Getting to the start
All runners will be asked to use public transport to get to the Start Area. We suggest that runners DO NOT drive to the Start as parking will be extremely limited and some roads will be closed for the event.
The Vitality Big Half race route starts by Tower Bridge. Runners will head to Canary Wharf, then come back along the Highway to cross Tower Bridge into the borough of Southwark as they head towards the finish at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. You can download a map of The Vitality Big Half course here.
Whatever your target time at The Vitality Big Half may be, the Runner's World Pace Team will be on hand to help you achieve your goal. Each pace setter will carry a different coloured flag displaying their finish time and minute per mile pace – simply look out for the flags below when you're at the start or on the course.

All runners will be able to leave baggage at the Start. This will be transported to the Finish in Greenwich, where you will be able to collect your kitbag after the race. A PA system at the Start Area will tell you when to put your kitbag onto the appropriate baggage vehicle. Once you have deposited your kitbag on the lorry, you will not be able to retrieve your belongings until you arrive at the finish.
The Vitality Big Festival
The Vitality Big Half is about more than just the run – it’s about the communities that we run through. We will be celebrating those communities all the way round the route with DJs, bands, food and plenty of colour! Visit The Vitality Big Festival page to find out more.
